Aerica shimizu banks | Patent policy analyst & black small business outreach liaison at google

Aerica Shimizu Banks works in patent policy, black small business outreach, and heads the Asian Google Network for Google's DC office. She recently partnered with DC Gov on their Space to Dream series, connecting artists to public and private resources to grow their online presence and career opportunities. Previously, she worked at the White House and The Pew Charitable Trusts. All the while, she's sung in bands. She went to Seattle University for undergrad and Oxford for graduate school, loves traveling and being a dog mom, and is always looking to build her creative community.
