KAYONA EBONY BROWN

Kayona Ebony Brown is a multi-hyphenate artist whose journey began with the simple desire to tell great stories. So she started the best and only way she knew how—writing. After publishing her first book, she knew she was on the right track. And so… she kept going, finding countless creative ways to develop as a storyteller. She whet her appetite for visual storytelling—taking the words from paper to screens—by working on indie films in various roles in front of and behind the camera. This led to an opportunity to direct her first music video, which prepared her to helm her first short film, a project for which she wore too many hats to name (even doing the website and graphic work for the project). Kayona currently has multiple projects in the works and her screenplays consistently place in major screenwriting competitions, but her most significant goal right now is the success of her Of Music & Men project, a multi-media franchise that includes a scripted half-hour drama/comedy program.

Kayona currently lives in her native Washington, DC where she’s diligently building her media and entertainment empire. Her entrepreneurial spirit coupled with her artistic prowess are the tools with which she’s building the foundation for her career. Through books, filmmaking, acting, and speaking, her talents and service-minded intentions will impact this and future generations.
