MARI COFIELD

Founder of DM Consulting, Mari is a former Federal Contractor/Sr. Contract Specialist who has been in the Government Contracting arena for 10 years. DM Consulting's mission is to bring awareness to local minority owned small businesses and entrepreneurs about the field of Government Contracting. Mari is a native Washingtonian. During her tenure in the Federal Government, she noticed how often qualified small businesses would lose out on potential contract award opportunities due to incomplete submissions of proposals, or an overall lack of understanding of what type of information should be submitted in a proposal for a Government contract. Mari felt that she could directly assist the DC Small Business community by starting a consulting firm specifically targeting small business owners in Washington, DC that needed her help the most. Knowing that winning even one small contract could be a lifeline for a small business, and can potentially be the catalyst for a small business to successfully bid on and win future contracts, Mari felt the need to do more by utilizing her skills to help local small business owners in a more direct and impactful way.
