Mikki “PNMA” Carlton

Mikki “PNMA” Carlton is a Washington, DC-based singer, songwriter, beatmaker, event producer and vocal arranger. She’s written, recorded and produced music for many noteworthy artists including Joe Maye of NBC's The Voice, Kokayi, Mick Jenkins, Mannywellz, BOOMscat, Chaz French, M.O.P., Innanet James, GRAMMY®-nominated vocalist Carolyn Malachi, and many others. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Howard University with a concentration in Music Business, and years of experience as a Program Coordinator and Event Producer for the DC Jazz Festival, producing shows at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, the University of the District of Columbia Theater for the Arts, Howard University and The Anthem. She is a voting member of the Washington, DC chapter of the Recording Academy, Producers and Engineers Wing.

PNMA joins the 202Creates team to advance her mission of galvanizing the local music industry through crafting curated, exciting events for all sectors of the local scene. PNMA will be working to engage artists, producers, engineers, venue owners, marketers, DJs and all other creative stakeholders through her platform, tentatively titled “DMVUnited”, that will operate as a consortium-based free-of-charge- consulting and project management solution for local creators.
