Dana Fletcher
Dana Fletcher is a writer, community organizer and mental health advocate from Kingston, Jamaica. She launched her campaign Embrace Your Unknown in 2016 to drive the reframing and reclaiming of mental health narratives deeply rooted in stigma. With a focus on Black mental health, she believes in meeting people where they are and experimenting with different forms of storytelling as a vehicle for increasing mental health literacy. Through her work, she hopes to foster a sense of social support through community building and facilitate access to inclusive & culturally competent mental health care. She has spoken at events in the U.K., U.S. & Jamaica, and her words have appeared in The Huffington Post, The Mighty, Afropunk & TeenVogue.
